Patrick McCauley

Patrick McCauley joined Polaris in February 2023 as the manager of trading, focusing on all day-to-day trading activities at the firm. In this role, he is responsible for oversight of trading workflow, risk management and portfolio guidelines, while attuned to the intersection of trading and operations, brokerage and compliance frameworks.
Mr. McCauley most recently served as the senior associate trader at Champlain Investment Partners in Burlington, VT, an independent asset management firm with $15 billion in AUM. He was responsible for the firm’s domestic and international trades across 20 markets. Mr. McCauley oversaw the complete trading agenda, from cash monitoring to trade execution, while cultivating strong broker relationships to source block liquidity and minimize market impact.
Prior to his joining Champlain in 2017, Mr. McCauley interned for J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank of New York Mellon. He graduated from Boston College with a degree in economics and is currently a CFA Level II candidate.
